Weekly Infusion of Encouragement
Deuteronomy 4:29-31 – “But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him. For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.”
Satan is often described as the Great Deceiver – he loves to fill our minds with lies. One of his favorite ones it to tell us that God doesn’t care for us in our time of need and want; he tells us that in the midst of our suffering God is not near. The Lord, however, tells us otherwise. He reminds us that if we would only just seek him, we would find that he is already there. God does not abandon us or betray us. All we must do is search for him and, as he promises, we will find him. He is faithful and only asks that we continue to seek his face.
What have you been struggling with lately? Seek God in the midst of this and find him. Spend time in Scripture searching for the promises of God. Pray that he will make himself known to you and provide you with the strength and comfort you need.
