Weekly Infusion of Encouragement
Proverbs 14:32 – “When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous seek refuge in God.”
For God, there is a dichotomy in the world: those who love him and those who do not. A sure way to tell if you love God is to reflect on what you do when adversity comes; to where do you turn when problems occur? The Bible encourages us to seek God first in every occasion. In joy and in death we should seek the face of God. When we experience times of great blessings we should turn to thank God for his benevolent hand of mercy. When we experience times of great suffering or pain, we should turn to God and seek his presence for safety and care. Only in him will we find exactly what we need.
Take time to seek God today. In what ways do you need the protection and comfort of God? Pray for the hand of God to rest upon your soul; pray that God will give you the strength to continue in life and ministry.
